Some excellent suggestions but did you know that there are 22 amazing alternative uses for beer. I can’t remember what the first 21 uses are but the twenty second is to drink it. Always satisfying!

An old man in a doctor’s office once told me that he filled a gallon jar with plums, then fill it jar with vodka. Let is sit for 3 weeks. Then, every day take out one plum and eat it. He said it helped his arthritis. Maybe he was drunk and didn’t care about his arthritis.

I had food poisoning and upended two or three shots of vodka, next day it was cleared up. I looked it up, and apparently hard alcohol can cure, or at least lessen the effects of, food poisoning.

Vodka can also be used as an anecdote for antifreeze ingestion by animals. If caught very soon after ingesting the anitfreeze, a veterinarian can administer a vodka IV drip and it will counteract the toxins in the antifreeze. Learned that from our local vet. She’s saved more than one animal like that, but only if started very quickly.

The bees got really drunk, once they sobered up they were fine.

And the Vodka as a topical treatment for poison ivy was a total bust as well.

Soap and water will also remove the poison ivy resin from your skin. But, like Vodka
